Biberach in the fairy tale rush: The gooseemal celebrates its premiere!

Stadthalle Biberach, 88400 Biberach an der Riß, Deutschland - Preparations for the highly expected Biberacher Schützentheater have been in full swing for months. On Saturday, June 28th, the premiere of the fairy tale "Die Gänsemagd" will be celebrated in the Biberach town hall. The staging, which is based on the famous fairy tale of the Grimm brothers, offers a total of 33 performances before the Dernière takes place on July 30th. Tickets are available in advance, but the coveted places are already scarce.

The children who bring the fascinating story of Princess Amelia alive are at the center of the performance. This has the difficult task of saving her impoverished kingdom by marrying a strange prince. Determined and with a bit of fear in the stomach, Amelia goes on a journey into an unknown world, accompanied by her loyal horse Faladah and her maid Tiana. The tensions between the characters are increasing when Tiana made dark plans and Amelia forces the role of da do.

The creative team

The overall management and direction of this impressive production have Mimi Jörg and Sandra Binder, who say goodbye to the overall management after years of intensive work in the shooting theater. They have been leading the project since 2019 and fully bring their creative vision into their own. You will receive support from Andreas Winter, who has composed the music, as well as Petra Weiß, who is responsible for the costumes. The collaboration of the two leaders goes hand in hand with some mixed feelings because they have led the rifle theater to new heights.

The topics of "Die Gänsemagd" are diverse and timeless. It is about truth, deception and inner strength, as well as friendship, envy and the courage to find yourself. These topics that appeal to both adults and children promise a moving performance.

a large ensemble

A total of 250 children and 34 young musicians are involved in the orchestra for the staging. The young talents bring a breath of fresh air to the performance. Particularly noteworthy is Henri Baur, who plays the first bodyguard at 9 years, as well as 11-year-old Nora Thoma, who impresses as a dancing falcon in ballet. It is a wonderful opportunity for these young artists to show their skills on stage and to be part of such a great project.

With "Die Gänsemagd", the audience awaits a colorful spectacle that will surely touch the heart and mind. The Biberacher Schützentheater has once again established itself as an important part of the region's cultural landscape. The staging is not only a festival for the performers, but also for all theater lovers in Biberach and the surrounding area. If you haven't secured a ticket yet, you should strike quickly, because the places are required.
