In an exciting season full of challenges, the referee Öztürk was able to celebrate a great success: he made the promotion to the Landesliga. This milestone was officially announced at the qualification meeting of the referee committee of the Württemberg Football Association (WFV) at the end of last season. The talented impartial from the region achieved 13th place in the competitive promotion round in the district league in the second season, where 51 referees from all over Württemberg had to knight around the coveted promotion places. Öztürk was the only representative of his referee group in this crucial phase, which makes his achievements all the more remarkable, such as the Schwäbische reported.

A total of 15 referees rose, and Öztürk can proudly count themselves among the chosen ones. In the new Landesliga, he is accompanied by other talented referees, including Dennis Wahl by SG Mettenberg and Jürgen Hinderhofer from FC Mengen, who took the 33rd place under 75 referees. Kevin Popp (FC Wacker Biberach) and Marco Komander (TSG Maselheim-Sulmingen) made it to ranks 37 and 50. All four will be active again in the 2025/26 season.

Not only Öztürk and his colleagues from the Landesliga can look forward to success. In the district league, Robin Zell (SV Schemmerhofen) and Silas Brunotte (SV Burgrieden) also did their best, but had to miss the promotion round. Your outstanding achievements in the new district league season nevertheless ensured that you are taken into account. The young referee in the region is promising and shows great talent.

Another highlight in the referee landscape is the appointment of Jessica Bergmann (SV Baustetten) on the FIFA list in January. Since then she has whistled in the women's Bundesliga, men's regional league and internationally, including the women's DFB Cup final. At the same time, after a voluntary break, David Kaiser (SV Erlenmoos) returns to the new season as an impartial in the association league.

The winning streak is not limited to Öztürk and the regional representatives. Referee Niklas Straßer (SRG Heilbronn) and Janik Wieland (SRG Öhringen) celebrated their promotion to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. Max Christian Augustin (SRG Kocher-Jagst) also made the leap into the association league. Some referees failed just on the climb, but were nominated for the association league replacement squad. These include Valentino Parys and Oliver Swoboda from SRG Heilbronn and SRG Öhringen. Luke Walz (SRG Öhringen) and Nicolas Ott (referee group Künzelsau), who were also able to climb into the Landesliga, are also on top.
