District League Oberschwaben: Mammut season with 34 games starts soon!

After the last restart in the district league of Upper Swabia, a mammoth season is now starting. The upcoming round will be exciting with a total of 18 teams, because the Ringschnait/Mittelbuch team did not make the leap in the relegation to the Landesliga. This means that 18 teams in the league are now fighting for points, which brings some challenges. As the Schwäbische Zeitung is played with the normal system with the second and then round-a real challenge for the teams.

The WFV regulations stipulate that from a number of 18 teams are also mandatory and second half of the season. Sigmar Störk, the chairman of the Upper Swabian district, and Niko Schäfer, the game director, have informed the clubs about this procedure. However, the situation around the league regulations, especially regarding the remaining of the Mietingen team, remains unclear. This influence on the number of participants is not insignificant.

regulations and concerns

The opinions about the game systems differ. While some clubs, especially from the old district of Riß, prefer an alternative game system, the clubs from the Donau contemporary district prefer the traditional method. The Landesliga relegated Ochsenhausen supported the Danube teams. In addition, Tobias Winter from the SGM Ringschnait/Mittelbuch took air with regard to the high number of games and the poor infrastructure: "No artificial turf, no floodlights - that will be tight," says Winter.

For a normal round with 34 match days, Klaus Unger (SV Sigmaringen) and Adrian Kaiser (SV Ochsenhausen) also spoke out. Kaiser described the system as a sporting way with the first and second half of the season. Kevin Hartl from FC Mengen and Dietmar Heiß (SF Hundersingen) joined this opinion. Andreas Ostermaier (FC Krauchenwies/Hausen/Göggingen) also failed the pressure that arises in the qualification phase.
