Hopping works of art shine against the darkness of the crises!
In the Schalerie Schranne in Laupheim, an impressive art exhibition is currently being presented, which puts the talent of young artists in the right light. Under the title "ColoUful Thoughts", the students of class 9e under the direction of Christina Hein, Stefanie Haase and Jörn Abt show their works that are inspired by the expressionist art movement. The pupils dealt with artists such as Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Emil Nolde, among other things, and express personal sensations in their work.
Marie Susewind, a student in this class, describes her picture "hopeful mountain landscape", which shows lively, green summit on a dark reason that strive towards the reddish sun. An entertaining element of the exhibition is the variety of plastic-style sculptures that deal with topics such as climate change, war, freedom of faith and the need for care. Short texts by the young artists on the walls illustrate their personal points of view and invite you to think.
a sign of hope in cloudy times
The rector of the school, Petra Schänzle, emphasized their importance in times of darkness and crises when the exhibition was opened. In "ColoFORFUL Thoughts" she not only sees a platform for artistic forms of expression, but also a statement for respectful cooperation. Ralf Aubele, Chairman of the Association of Children's and Home Festival Laupheim, also emphasized how important it is to present and celebrate special skills of young people.
The third department of the exhibition, which shows the “day after day good day” by the artist Peter Dreher, is particularly noteworthy. In over 40 years, this has created around 5,200 work with empty water glasses who subtle the viewer to pause and think.
opening times and location
The exhibition "ColoFSULL Thoughts" can still be seen for a few days in the Schalerie Schranne at Marktplatz 17:
- Saturday, June 28th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday, June 29, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, June 30th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The exhibition is in the context of a creative heritage, which is also shaped by the works of artists like Niki de Saint Phalle. The French-American artist, born in 1930, is known for her provocative and colorful work, which among other things focuses on the female form. In her famous “Nanas” she celebrated femininity in a playful way and questioned common representations in art. Her monumental "Tarot Garden" in Tuscany is another example of how art can act as a transformative experience that deals with topics such as gender, identity and social justice. Niki de Saint Phalle, who lived until 2002, left a lasting legacy in contemporary art with her brave work.
The "ColoFSULE THOGHTS" exhibition is not only a presentation of artistic talents, but also a mirror of social issues that affect all of us.
