Bundeswehr invests 250 million euros in the Neckar-Odenwald district!
In Baden-Württemberg, investments are currently being made. The Bundeswehr has decided to put around 250 million euros into the Neckar-Odenwald district. This decision is in the context of a comprehensive reactivation of logistics facilities, which not only affects regional security, but also on economic aspects. The ammunition depot in Walldürn (Altheim) and the material warehouse in Hardheim are expanded. These measures are the result of a confirmation by a spokesman for the Federal Office for the Bundeswehr, as RND reported.
The Europe -wide security context also has an impact on these measures. The Bundeswehr must reorganize itself in the face of new threats and challenges. Experience shows that formerly decommissioned depots, such as the material warehouse in Huchenfeld, are again of crucial importance. Like the newly reactivated institutions, the warehouse should play a key role in state and alliance defense. Bundeswehr-journal mentioned that a supply company has been running here since April and the infrastructure is further modernized.
With regard to future development, the Federal Fire Brigade in Walldürn will be stationed, which can offer additional support if necessary. This initiative not only underlines the importance of the military locations for the security of the region, but also its role for the local economy.Details | |
