In the district of Heilbronn there is finally reason for the painters and painters: From now on they earn an hourly wage of 19.42 euros, retrospectively from April. For the full -time employees, this means around 90 euros more on the monthly salary check. This positive development results from hard collective bargaining that has been led in recent months. A total of around 330 employees in 58 companies benefit from this wage increase, as IG Bau and the employment agency report. But that's not all. The craft faces further changes. Painters and painters without wages receive the minimum wage of 15.55 euros, which has also been applied since July. And the trainees can also be happy: from August there will be 50 euros more for you. On the horizon, there are other wage increases for the next year that keep the industry busy.

In recent years there have been considerable wage increases nationwide in the painter's and painter trade. As the Deutsche Handwerks-Zeitung reported at the beginning of 2023 a wage increase of 5% in the old federal countries. A further increase of 2.6% is planned in 2024. There is even an extra bonus of 10 cents.

The collective agreement, which was concluded at the end of 2022, reflects the current market situation and has a term by September 30, 2024. These fixed regulations offer companies a certain planning security, while at the same time the needs of visitors to the foreground.

Future view for the industry

The training allowances are also on the test bench. From August 2024 there will be a further increase in the training, while the minimum industry wages will also be increased in April 2024. Here are the targeted amounts:
