Weinstadt family center: A decade full of offers for everyone!

Weinstadt family center: A decade full of offers for everyone!

A very special occasion is in the house: the Weinstadt family center celebrates its 10th anniversary! A decade ago, in 2015, this valuable establishment was launched by the Evangelical Society Stuttgart, better known as Eva. The family center thus competed in direct competition with larger facilities from Waiblingen and Schorndorf, who often work with paying partners. The concentrated claim to an open, inclusive offer for all ages - from the smallest infants to the oldest seniors - makes the center a popular meeting place for the entire family.

"Generations come together here," says Margret Mack, the head of the family center, about the variety of users. In addition to classic offers, preventive measures are also presented, such as an international language café. This offers refugees and immigrants the opportunity to practice German as a second language in a relaxed atmosphere over coffee and cake. "The Sprachcafé has not only proven to be a platform for the linguistic exchange, but also as a place where different cultures can meet and exchange," adds Mack.

diverse offers for all

The family center has put together a wide program that is based on a colorful target group. In addition to the language café, there are numerous activities that support both new contacts and do integration work. Volunteers are ready to offer support and have discussions. Interested parties can contact Andrea Paasch, who is available as a contact for integration. It can be reached at integrationslämperte@weinstadt.de or by phone at 07151-693 199.

The International Sprachcafé is therefore not only an important point of contact for people with a migration background, but also a space that invites you to close new friendships and to exchange ideas on various topics. "We are looking for people who want to get involved in language support or integration work," emphasizes Mack and invites the citizens: inside of Weinstadt to actively participate.

a place of encounter

The importance of the Weinstadt family center goes beyond the mere offers. It has developed into a central place of encounter where integration and community are lived. The offer for people of all ages has proven itself over the years and is valued by the citizens: inside. "We have a lot of cooperation together in the long term," concludes Margret Mack. The location in the heart of Weinstadt also makes it easy and inviting for everyone who is interested in participation and exchange.

In summary, it can be said: The Weinstadt family center has established itself as a facility that meets the needs of the community and sets highlights in the life of many families. It will be interesting to see how the offer will develop in the future and how many new faces can welcome the coming years.
