Queer & Friends Picnic: A day of encounter in Ludwigsburg!

Bärenwiese, Ludwigsburg, Deutschland - On June 28, 2025, the Bärenwiese in Ludwigsburg invites you to a very special event: the "Queer & Friends Picnic". From 4 p.m., people of all orientations and generations are cordially invited to dorm, chat and make new acquaintances. This informal event is characterized by a unique concept in which the participants bring their own picnic utensils such as blankets, snacks and drinks.

The picnic relies on openness and respect. There is no set program here, but space for spontaneous conversations and interactions. The basic idea is to promote solidarity and tolerance in the city society, so this format is really a meeting for everyone who wants to encounter. Participants are encouraged to dispose of their garbage independently, which also underlines the sustainability aspect of the event. The aim is to create an inclusive community that grows far beyond the event and forms new networks.

Not only the picnic promises to become a highlight for the Queere Community in Ludwigsburg. On May 3, an event took place in the Villa Barrock, which was organized by Connect Ludwigsburg and the Flint bar. This celebration of diversity and visibility brought the queer community together and offered a colorful program. From 8 p.m. the guests experienced a spectacle of music, drag and art.

DJs like Ronja RaveraDe daughter and Jona Davis provided the musical framework, while Drag performances by Missperm and Dua Look captivated the audience. There was also an exhibition of students who addressed patriarchal power in their pictures. A solidarity price model was used in which the guests themselves could decide on admission and the drink prices-a sign of the solidarity lived.

The Schwuz Queer Foundation takes over the sponsorship for numerous events and projects within this acoustic range. This is committed to promoting queer art and culture and relies on the provision of a stage for young artists: inside. The foundation has set itself the task of guaranteeing protection and presentation of queer art, but also emphasizes the aspect of creating space for low -profit projects. Donations are not only welcome, but can also be asserted for tax purposes, which also promotes the support of the queer art scene.
