Anniversary solutions: 150 years of Dettingen fire brigade on flames!

When the sun goes down on June 29, a special spectacle begins in Dettingen: the traditional solstice fire. This year the celebration has a special reason-the Dettingen volunteer fire brigade celebrates its 150th anniversary. Even before the official start, the beer benches filled up, and the anticipation for the event was noticeable. The first group of torchbearers, led by the Dettinger Musikverein, pulled across the field with sparkling flames and brought a festive atmosphere with them, while children experienced the event with their parents.

The picture was very harmonious at the pile of wood. The participants formed a circle and finally waited for the fire brigade signal to ignite the big fire. This tradition attracts numerous visitors year after year, who can not only enjoy the flames, but also to a rich range of food and drinks. French fries, sausages and drinks found their way to the families who had made themselves comfortable on beer benches or on blankets.
