Deuchelrieder B1 soccer girl celebrate historical promotion to the Oberliga!
Esslingen, Deutschland - It was a memorable day for the B1 soccer girl of SV Deuchelried, who could celebrate their promotion to the top division on June 12, 2025-the highest division for their category. The Schwanen kickers asserted themselves against FC Esslingen and secured their place in the new league, which was previously known as a Bundesliga, before the 2024/25 league reform. They won 3-0 in an exciting first leg, with Eva Schele, Joseline Koros and Leonie Maurus performed as goal scorers, reports the Schwäbische .
What a second leg! In the Kuhweid-Arena there were countless fans on site to cheer on their team, including many SVD youth players. Antonia Sigg initially brought Deuchelried 1-0 in the lead, followed by Emma Schuler, who increased to 2-0. But FC Esslingen was not beaten: Matilda Funke scored the connection goal for 2-1 and Mia Kirin equalized in the 57th minute to 2: 2. But Sigg was not to be broken - her goal in the 73rd minute to 3: 2 sealed the ascent. After 90 minutes the deserved rise was determined.
opponent in the Oberliga
The SVD girls can look forward to exciting encounters in the Oberliga. Future opponents will be VfB Stuttgart, SC Freiburg, Karlsruher SC and 1. FC Heidenheim. Trainer Sofia Borges is convinced that the girls have the potential to create a highly competitive class in this highest league.
youth promotion in football
Not only the success of the B1 girls is the focus. SV Deuchelried is active in promoting women's football in the region. For example, around 60 children and adolescents recently took part in a training camp organized by the Deuchelrieder in cooperation with FC Augsburg. The participants were looked after by six coaches of the FC Augsburg football school over three days. The camp offered young kickers an excellent opportunity to improve their skills and make new friendships.
The enthusiasm for women's football is growing steadily. Around 30 million women play football worldwide today-an increase of 4 million since 2006. The number of women's youth leagues has almost doubled in recent years, which has shown the development of sport in the right direction. More and more clubs are offering football summer camps that are now also responding to the needs of girls. This makes it easier to play without competition through boys in purely female leagues, such as Ertheo reports.
The SV Deuchelried plans to repeat the training camp next year and thanks all helpers, patrons and sponsors for their support. Because without their help, the rise and promotion of girls' football would not have been possible. The future of playing football for girls looks rosy - not only in Deuchelried!
