Biennale Sindelfingen 2025: Art, celebrations and memory united!

The city of Sindelfingen is faced with a special event: The Biennale, which takes place from June 28 to July 26, 2025, is committed to set an impressive sign in various artificial savings with the lead motif "Freedom and Responsibility" of the task. This series of events will not only reflect the creative streak of the city, but also remind of significant historical events.

organized by the dedicated project team of the Office of Culture, consisting of Markus Nau, Astrid Paul and Tina Braun, the Biennale is supported by an experienced Biennale curatorium that has been active since 2017. In 2025 the Biennale becomes particularly important, because it marks the 500th anniversary of the farmers' battle on the Goldberg and the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

artistic highlights and events

Over 80 events in the areas of music, theater, dance, visual art, film, literature and history are planned. The opening will take place on June 28 at 2 p.m. as part of the Goldberg Festival on Berliner Platz. Particular attention is paid to the peasant war ororium "Unter the Morgenstern" by Christoph Reuter and Andreas Hillger as well as the theater production "The good person of Sezuan" directed by Axel Krauße and Christina Wachendorff.

But that's not all: The Biennale offers a colorful program that includes the following highlights:

• 28. June: Opening and inauguration of the sculpture path.
• 29. June: Premiere dance theater human material.
• 4. July: Theater premiere Break Free.
• 5./6. July: Oratorio under the Morgenstern.
• 11. July: Theater premiere The good person of Sezuan.
• 12. July: Premiere Children's Musical Tom Sawyer and Path of Miracles.
• 25. July: Summer concert ... in the Heart of the City!
• 26. July: Big Citizens' Party.

The venues range from the city hall, community center to the gymnasium and festival hall Darmsheim and the church reconciliation on Goldberg. This ensures a varied backdrop that meets the diverse program.

This Biennale is another example of how art can bring people together, regardless of geographical borders. The Berlin Biennale also promises three months full of creative highlights in various significant exhibition locations.
