Missed tiger cat Tinka: After two years finally at home again!

What a heart -warming message from Karlsruhe! After almost two years of adventurous absence, the tiger cat Tinka was found. The fur nose, which was stolen from the Karlsruhe shelter in autumn 2021, is now enjoying well -preserved society again. The crucial reference to the return came via the Tasso pet register, which in this case provided valuable support. Tinka was discovered 24 kilometers away in a rifle house where a cat protector was able to read her chip registered in the shelter. Two employees of the shelter then picked up the cat, but unfortunately could not collect any information about their living conditions during the absence.

Although Tinka is in an acceptable state of care, she has lost some weight. The shelter now plans to have the cat checked in a veterinary check and find a suitable new home for you. Information about Tinkas Mediation will be published on the animal shelter's homepage, and it is to be hoped that the shy cat will soon find a new place where it can feel comfortable.

Burglary and missing cats

The theft of Tinka was part of a larger incident in which a total of four cats were stolen from the shelter. In addition to Tinka, it was her sister Flocke and the pedigree cats Apollo and Floyd. While the siblings Tinka and Flocke lingered, Apollo and Floyd returned relatively quickly. The latter were found in Bulach and, apart from a few fleas and minor inflammation, are well. Flocke was also secured and is back in the shelter. Tinka, who was considered shy when she disappeared, kept hidden for two years, which made the search all the more challenging. Animal rights activists and the animal shelter had repeatedly called up the population to keep their eyes open and report notes-luckily the call was now successful! The role of animal protection

In the light of these developments, the importance of animal welfare in Germany again becomes clear. According to the "large cat protection report" from the German Animal Welfare Association, a total of 604 animal welfare associations were interviewed with direct contacts to street cats. These clubs do irreplaceable work, also with regard to the reinforcement of missing animals and the enlightenment among the population. The results of the surveys show that there is a great need for support in this area, and a number of animal welfare associations are active in rural areas alone.

Hope that Tinka could now experience a new beginning combines with gratitude for the numerous animal rights activists who are tirelessly fighting for the well -being of the four -legged friends. Every hint counts, and the committed work of the animal shelters and clubs remains of central importance. So stay tuned and support the local animal welfare organizations to help even more animals!
