Timetable change from June 15: New lines bring a breath of fresh air to Karlsruhe!

Next Sunday, June 15th, there will be some remarkable changes in the transport network of the Karlsruhe Transport Association (KVV). Whether lighting railway lines or bus connections - the timetable change brings a breath of fresh air to the timetables. This update concerns both the Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG) Stadtbahn lines and many bus lines that cross the region. [KA-NEWS] reports that schoolchildren in particular can be happy, because a new student train connection is introduced, which runs from Bruchsal at 11:32 a.m. and arrives in Odenheim at 11:55 a.m. However, the previous urgent trains between Bruchsal and Stettfeld are eliminated.

A new train will also run from Odenheim to Bruchsal at 12:03 p.m., but without the Bruchsal Stegwiesen and Schlossgarten stops. The changes in the temporal processes of the S31/S32 show how important a timely and comfortable connection is for the commuters. [kvv.de] emphasizes that the urgent trains are also no longer offered from 12:41 p.m.

innovations on the S4

The commissioning of the two -track expansion between Leingarten and Schwaigern, which will also be introduced on Sunday, is particularly exciting. A new urgent train between Heilbronn and Eppingen is used, which promises the passengers an approximately 15-minute cycle during rush hours. The trains will run from Karlsruhe to Eppingen with everyone, which significantly shortens the travel time. The connection from Heilbronn to the Eppingen junction is thus significantly improved. [karlsruhe.de] reports that additional trips are also introduced between Neckarsulm and Heilbronn.

Another change affects line S8: The first train from Forbach to Freudenstadt will depart ten minutes earlier, now at 5:10 a.m. This adaptation serves to avoid conflicts on the platforms and makes it easier for passengers to switch. There are also adjustments in the KVV.Myshuttle because the operating areas Waldbronn and Karlsbad are merged. From June 15th there will be a common area whose control times from Karlsbad will apply to the entire area.

bus traffic in the district of Rastatt

Also in the bus traffic of the Rastatt district are there changes. Line 231 between Rastatt and Soufflenheim is adapted in some places, especially in the inner city area of Rastatt. This is mainly due to timetable optimization. The “Sinzheim Goethestrasse” stop of line 290 will no longer be served in the future, instead passengers will have the opportunity to use the “Sinzheim gymnasium” stop. [kvv.de] emphasizes that all passengers are asked to consider the current notices at the stops.

For all changes, information is available on the KVV website, so that every passenger can quickly and easily find the appropriate connection. The new timetable reflects the constant development of public transport in the Karlsruhe and the surrounding area, which is steadily adapted to the needs of passengers. In this sense - good trip!
