Ettlinger Choir Vocalis conquers the stages at the International Festival!

Ettlingen, Deutschland - The choir vocalis of the Ettlinger Liedertafel is ready for a very special adventure: the only German representative will be the choir from June 26th to 29th in the International Choir Festival Verona Garda Estate. The reason enough to illuminate the anticipation and intensive preparations of the 34-person ensemble. This trip to Verona, a wonderful place for music and culture, is no coincidence - the idea came from a pianist of the choir who became aware of the festival during a vacation.

vocalis is not entirely inexperienced when it comes to international appearances. In 2019, the choir already performed in Madrid and thus has valuable experience. Preparations for the festival participation have been running since January and even contain a special choir weekend. The repertoire extends from the sounds of the 15th century to modern pieces and includes songs both Italian Renaissance and German compositions.

The singers of Vocalis not only show vocal class, but also a sense of style: men wear champagne -colored flying, while the women present colorful pearl chains made of paper made by women in Uganda. So every appearance becomes a small festival of colors and cultures.

The travel and accommodation costs must be carried out by the participants: inside, but grants for the trip and the stay in Verona are sought. In order to capture the impressions of the festival, the choir has set up a WhatsApp channel through which you will share the experience with friends and supporters.

For example, the "altrenote" choir in Rome, which has existed since 2000, has a similar concern by embodied the thoughts of university through singing. With a colorful mix of traditional songs from different cultures, this choir creates a unique experience. His goal is to create connections worldwide through musical research and participation in festivals.

Participation in the festival in Verona opens up the opportunity for Vocalis to get to know choirs and cultures from all over the world. In 2026, other interesting festivals in Spain, Finland and Great Britain are already on the program that offer the choirs a platform to present their talents to an international audience. These events would be a great opportunity to make new contacts and experience the variety of choral music, be it at Cantaquera in Spain or at the Nordic Voices Choir Festival in Finland.
