From 24. Until July 27, 2025 , the Günther Klotz facility becomes the scene of a hustle and bustle that attracts people in droves. 250,000 visitors are expected to celebrate together and enjoy the varied program. This year, the festival will come up with an impressive budget of about 5 million euros to offer its numerous guests unforgettable experiences. Common memories have been created here since 1985 when the festival with only 3,000 visitors and just 10,000 DM budget was created.

originally planned by Dieter Moser and the city youth committee as a free public event, the festival has gained popularity in the past four decades. The challenges in planning the first festival were not to be underestimated. Topics such as disposal, the provision of water and electricity and obtaining permits had to be addressed. The iconic Mount Klotz , on which the festival takes place, has long since become an unmistakable symbol of the festival. Visitors remember concerts that took place in pouring rain and the many creative slide on the garbage cans.
