The managing director of Tourismus- und Marketing GmbH (T+M), Markus Herrmann, had underlined early on that the funds could not be provided for the Italian night. Mayor Richard Arnold confirmed that austerity measures were imposed on the part of the T+M municipal council. Nevertheless, the event is continued and Sriskandarajah is aware of the importance of this night for the attractiveness of the city center. He plans to implement the proven concept while maintaining the previous partners and can calculate more flexible as a private entrepreneur.

The Italian night, which was first launched by Wolfgang Ruß in 2010, has initially developed into a true crowd puller from a few dozen visitors. The marketplace will shine on Saturday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for bouquet and conviviality. With live music, culinary delights and a southern flair, the event invites you to bring the holiday mood to Schwäbisch Gmünd. As a musical highlight, Toni Mangieri with his band "Due Piu Due" will entertain the guests from 8 p.m.
