Free violence together: 43 students experience nature and team spirit in the Gmünd

Schwäbisch Gmünd, Deutschland - in Schwäbisch Gmünd was the focus of an exciting action promoting resilience under the motto "growing together without violence". From May 26th to 2825, 43 students from seven different schools spent an unforgettable weekend at the Ziegerhof near Reitprechts. The event, which was organized by Schwaebisch-gmuend.de, not only offered the opportunity to experience nature, but also promoted personal use of stress and conflicts.

The participating schools ranged from the Schiller Realschule to the community school Unterm Hohenrechberg to the Hans-Baldung-Gymnasium. The young people were supervised by Canisius Youth welfare school -social workers, who were supported by the students in dealing with their challenges. The activities of the project included, among other things, an 8 -kilometer orientation run and the construction of forest caves from natural materials. The overnight stays in the forest, both on climbing networks and in self -made shelves, gave the participants a unique experience of nature.

promotion of resilience in focus

The goal of this campaign was to strengthen resilience and the ability to manage children. Studies show that school social work is seen as a valuable resource in this process. According to SibiOrdend.ch, she can relieve teachers in times when educational institutions are confronted with administrative challenges by creating space for prevention work.

The needs in promoting resilience were also examined by a study work. This found that numerous criteria must be met so that school social work effectively contributes to promoting resilience. These criteria range from well -founded specialist knowledge and the design of relationships to a multimodal approach in the setting. There is a great need to raise political awareness of the importance of this work.

cooperation network

Another aspect of the entire event was the close cooperation between the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd, school social work, youth work and youth welfare. This cooperation is essential to create a strong network that supports children and young people in their development. The project received the financial support from the Förderverein Aktion Safe Gmünd e.V. and from the respective support associations of the participating schools, which ensured the design of the activities and the support on site.

The experiences that the children gained in this nature experience project are priceless. They learned teamwork, self -efficacy and were able to experience their personal development to the fullest. So the "Safe Gmünd" campaign ultimately went beyond mere leisure activities. It was a step towards a future in which children and young people can go into their challenges strengthened. Because especially in today's fast -moving time, the ability to deal with pressure and stress is more important than ever.
