Marktplatz 15, 88471 Laupheim, Deutschland - in Laupheim on Friday, June 13, 2025, the new Chinese-Japanese restaurant "Rakisuta" opened its doors. Under the direction of Hongbin Chen and his wife Yingying Tang, the restaurant offers an enrichment of Asian gastronomy in the region and thus closes an urgent gap in the market. The restaurant is located in the basement of the Hotel inn Krone on Marktplatz 15 and is designed in the typical Asian flair, which ensures a relaxed atmosphere.

Hongbin Chen, who came to Germany from China 20 years ago, brings 17 years of experience from the gastronomy. After working in cities like Munich, Ulm and Dillingen, he has now dared to be independent. "Rakisuta" is a matter close to the heart for the couple who works without additional staff and thus maintains direct contact with their guests.

The menu of the new restaurant offers a wide range of delicious options. Chinese specialties include homemade dumplings, known as "Goyza", which are filled with vegetables and beef. Fried pasta can also be found on the menu. The Japanese side is covered by various sushi variants, including "Maki", "Nigiri", "Ura Maki" and "Gunkan". The offer is supplemented by tasty bowls - both vegetarian and meat or fish.

Various delicacies are available for the starters, such as inserted Chinese cabbage in a sharp sauce, elaborate "Kimchi" and the Japanese seaweed salad "Goma-Wakame". Particularly exciting: the sushi preparation happens directly at the counter, which gives the guests a look at the art of making sushi.
