Brazen rim claw in Sinsheim: BMW left on sandstones!

Sinsheim-Dühren, Deutschland - A shocking incident occurred on Sunday morning in Sinsheim-Dühren. The 35-year-old owner of a BMW 220i was amazed when she returned to her parked vehicle on the sports field path. Instead of the usual four tires, her car suddenly stood on sandstones, while all four rims and summer tires disappeared without a trace. The estimated total amount for this brazen theft amounts to around 2500 euros. According to the RNZ has already started the investigation.

But that was just the summit of the iceberg. Another car theft on the same day shows that crime in the region is increasing. In the early Wednesday morning, a 34-year-old owner discovered suspicious noises. His BMW with Keyless-Go system rolled from Wolfsbergstrasse towards Heinrich-theobald-Straße. Apparently the perpetrators had already tried to steal the car. Fortunately, it was found only a few hundred meters away, but with dismantled license plates. The perpetrators escaped, despite the use of a police helicopter. If you can provide information, you should contact the Heidelberg criminal police under number 0621 174-4444

a worrying trend

The increasing numbers of car theft are not only a locally limited problem, but a nationwide phenomenon. According to a current statistics of the ADAC , the number of car theft in Germany rose by almost 20 % compared to the previous year. All over Germany, 14,585 comprehensive vehicles were stolen, which resulted in immense economic damage of 310 million euros. The thieves are particularly active in Berlin, because a car disappears every two hours.

Not only in the metropolises is stolen. Inner cities, also in Baden-Württemberg, are increasingly in the sights of car thieves. It is striking that Toyota models in particular are very popular, while the common brands Volkswagen and BMW are also well represented in theft statistics. This development raises questions about how the vehicles can be better ensured soon.

The increase in the car theft and the brazen sub -robberies, as observed in Sinsheim, shows that there is a need for action at many corners. The police appeal to witnesses to report and possibly help prevent these stirring offenses.
