What is it ahead of the Corpus Christi this year? In the Neckar-Odenwald district there are a variety of exciting events that make the holidays a real experience. The region blooms and offers something for every taste - from historical performances to exciting music festivals.

in Gottersdorf everything revolves around the 18th century. At the “Living History” event, around 150 performers present how people lived at the time. In the style of back then there is civilian village life, historical craft and military representations. The culinary side is also not neglected, with historical cooking demonstrations by women and men in robes from the time. The event takes place from Thursday to Sunday, always at 11 a.m., and the last light will be deleted around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

In Hainstadt, the arable festival is started on the meadow at the forest playground. Here visitors can look forward to a beer garden that will be opened on Thursday and experience the traditional barrel tapping. Odenwald Country Fair in Michelstadt

A very special highlight this weekend is the "Odenwald Country Fair" in the English Garden of Eulbach in Michelstadt. Here over 200 exhibitors present themselves with all kinds of beautiful, stylish and useful for the garden, house and farm. In addition, visitors can try culinary delights from near and far. Handicrafts and hands -on activities are also taken care of, so that there is a varied program for the whole family. Dogs are welcome, but must be led on a leash. Free parking and bus traffic make the journey comfortable. The event runs daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and admission prices are more than fair: adults pay 14 euros, while children up to 15 years have free admission.

Festival in Heilbronn

And finally the Neckarile in Heilbronn turns into a summer festival at the festival of lights, which is celebrated from Thursday to Saturday. Over 60 street food stands and four live stages take care of the physical and musical well-being of the guests. The highlights are the impressive light and laser shows that take place at two locations. On Saturday there is also a family experience with a dragon boat cup, boat trips, streetball tournament and an entertaining duck race for large and small visitors.
