From now on, the central emergency room (ZNA) in the Bürgerspital Wertheim is now open for two hours longer every day, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This decision came into force on Monday and is the second extension of opening hours this year. In June, the emergency room was also open until 6 p.m. on weekends, which benefited residents. Last year, since the Bürgerspital reopened, around 2,600 outpatients and around 600 inpatients were treated via the ZNA. This closure could have severely affected health care, but the city of Wertheim has announced that it will buy the hospital and put it back into operation.
