Revolutionary filter system: This makes water more secure in Wertheim!

Clean, warm water in the swimming pools is essential for health and well -being of the bathers. Wolfgang Clärding from the Aquila group of companies underlined this in his last speech. He emphasizes the central role of water treatment in publicly accessible baths, especially in Wertheim, which is considered a stronghold of this technology in Germany. With innovative products, such as the new modular and recyclable filter system, the company leads the industry and relies on self -production instead of external allocation. "We have developed the first filter system with negative pressure that has established itself on the market within three to four years," says Clärding proudly.

aquila has achieved real progress with a patented filter concept. The system helps to significantly reduce electricity and water consumption. 30 replicas of this filter technology are already available across Europe. "We build complete facilities that cover everything - from filtering to disinfection and warming," added Clärding. The largest of these systems has the dimension of the Main-Tauber-Halle in Wertheim and another highlight is the development of a system for the 80 percent preparation of waste water from filter rinses.

research and innovation in focus

Another milestone in the company's history was reached about ten years ago with the development of its own chlorine electrolysis system. In the past 25 years, the German filter system industry has largely been spared from significant innovations. But topics such as energy savings and heat recovery are very popular today. Aquila is also part of a funded research project for heat management in cooperation with RWTH Aachen, which aims to make the consumption more flexible and avoid lace loads.

Progressing digitization is also evident in the current corporate strategy. In the event of disorders, collecting data and creating helpful reports. A remote maintenance is already offered for over 400 bathrooms, which significantly simplifies the maintenance effort. The innovative technology is not only used in classic swimming pools, but also in water attractions and slides.

regional importance and customers

The Aquila group of companies, which was founded 25 years ago by Reimund Klein, Jan Behner and Wolfgang Clärding, holds a strong market position. Around 170 employees are currently working in the group, and important key persons such as Sebastian Clärding and Laura Coskun-Clärding sit in the management. The future growth in the management will be Paul Behner, who will bring a fresh wind to the company.

The main sales market for Aquila comprises 70 % Germany, Scandinavia and Switzerland. It is particularly worth mentioning that Russia, an important market until 2014, has largely been pushed into the background after the sanctions. The company is currently taking care of around 25 projects of different sizes, including the spectacular recreational pool in Rulantica in the Europapark.

regional customers include the Solymar in Bad Mergentheim as well as several school swimming pools in Marktheidenfeld, Lohr and Würzburg. The new construction of the vine in Frankfurt is another important project. As a special highlight, a new hall at the Reinhardshof location is inaugurated in honor of the company's 25th anniversary, which measures a total of 1400 square meters.

"We are determined to achieve climate neutrality," explains Clärding. To support this, an 180-kWP PV system is currently being installed to optimize your own consumption, and modern heat pump technology is used. The company not only remains technologically, but also ecologically at the pulse of time.

In this dynamic industry, in which every day brings new challenges, Aquila creates an environment in which fresh ideas can thrive through continuous innovation and focus on sustainability. And that's a good thing, because the need for clean water will remain high in the future.
