Unfortunately, one of the little tiger babies had to make their lives, but the other two are constantly clean and are intensively looked after by their mother. In the first few weeks, Karis took care of her little ones, who are still blind and strongly dependent on the proximity of her mother. The entire team has a lot of trouble with Karis and their young to ensure that everyone is growing up healthy. While the living young animals still have to stay in the litter box, the father Tebo, who is separated from the rest of the family, is in contact with his partner and the little ones. Incidentally, the breeding couple was selected as a genetically ideal duo in order to contribute to the preservation of the species.
The protection of the Sumatra tiger
These efforts are all the more important than the Sumatra tiger are very threatened with extinction.
