Benefit concert Tacts against Cancer”: Stars for research in Heidelberg!
On November 28, 2025, the Karlstorbahnhof in Heidelberg will be the venue for a special musical event. The charity concert “Tacts against Cancer”, organized by the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg, promises not only a festive evening, but also a significant contribution to cancer research. At this concert, visitors become part of a unique performance where, instead of traditional tickets, they purchase “bars” of the compositions, which requires a minimum contribution of 35 euros. All proceeds go to innovative applied cancer research projects at NCT Heidelberg, which makes the event all the more heartwarming.

This year, visitors can look forward to an outstanding duo: the star drummer Vivi Vassileva, winner of the renowned Leonard Bernstein Award, and the Brazilian guitarist Lucas Campara Diniz will give those present musical treats. Vassileva will not only shine on the vibraphone, but will also interpret Brazilian sounds through pieces from Bach to Piazzolla. Her performance with Gregor A. Mayrhofer's “Recycling Concerto” is particularly impressive, in which she uses plastic bottles to bring a creative and sustainable accent to the music. klinikum.uni-heidelberg.de highlights Vassileva's remarkable technique and stage presence.
Special features of the evening
The event is under the patronage of Eckart Würzner, the mayor of Heidelberg, and is therefore supported by the highest authorities. The possibility of reading the “beats” online www.nct-takte.de Purchasing tickets ensures convenient ticket booking so that everyone has the chance to become part of this fantastic evening. The NCT fundraising team can be contacted on 06221 – 56 36 146 if there are any questions or concerns.
With this event, the NCT Heidelberg, a cooperation between the DKFZ, the UKHD, the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University and the Heidelberg Thorax Clinic, shows once again how important creative approaches are in medical research. The evening is enriched not only by great music, but also by the knowledge that every visit has a positive impact on cancer research. A good step in the right direction!
Be there and support the important work of NCT Heidelberg while letting yourself be carried away by the power of music!
